We have had so much going on. The end of September was busy with Flywheels preparation, church activities and school for Madi. Plus we have finally had some gorgeous weather and have enjoyed a lot of outside activities.
End of September Madi was able to participate in the Little Cheerleaders with the High School Cheerleaders. She got to ride over to the high school on the bus and hang out and learn cheers with the older girls. Then during the football game, her group cheered for the first quarter. She had so much fun. So much so, that she is going to be a Cardinals cheerleader for Halloween this year. (Got to get busy on making that costume!) She also had conferences last month. She is a smart kid and gets along great with the other kids. She is really enjoying herself, she loves it, once she gets there! We have been having a lot of problems getting her there though. She gets very sad and weepy in the mornings. She had so much anxiety built up that she would get sick in the mornings before we left the house. We tried everything and finally had to get a hold of the principal for some help. She has a fantastic principal and Madi has been meeting with her every morning, gives her a high five and a smile and sends her to class. It has really helped her and she has been doing much, much better. We usually only have one meltdown a week now and no more crying all morning. I never would have dreamed we would have these problems with Madi. She loved preschool and never had any problems. She started the school year off great and three weeks into it, this all started. And even then, she would come out of school at the end of the day and said she had a great day, all smiles. But she would dwell on what we were doing without her at home and what she was missing out on. Even though we weren't doing anything and making it sound as dull and boring as I could. I guess it was our preparation for Evan, because I can already tell he is going to be a major cling when I start leaving him at school.
We finished up all our tractors shows for the year. The Flywheels show was windy and wet. But we still had a fairly good turnout. We bought a new tractor. It is a Farmall B and the driver sits to one side of the tractor and the wheel hub has a large space where Chris made a seat and a seat belt for the kids to ride on. So much fun and both kids love it. For now they can ride together but not for too long with them getting so big! I also did my first tractor pull with the B this year. It was fun, a little nerve racking because I didn't know what I was doing, first one to pull and with a new tractor that I didn't want to tear up. But I did great and got first place!! (I was the only one in my class!) Chris and Dan also pulled two tractors a piece and both placed. Madi won her pedal pull and Evan got to do his second pedal pull of the year. We all had fun!
We have been enjoying the cooler weather and have had some great outdoors fun just playing around here at the house. Madi had a field trip to the pumpkin patch and then we went again this weekend. We had a great time with Aunt Tabatha and Jaxson Friday at their house and then all of us went for a nature walk with Uncle Jason. It was great spending time with them. Madi also recently learned to ride her bike without training wheels. She was so excited and happy. It took her no time at all to catch on and she is doing great! Evan got his hair cut last week and he looks like a totally different little boy, so cute!!
Enjoy the slide show of all of our doings!! And I'll have more pics after Halloween. Stay safe and enjoy!
Love, Amy
